Thermostatic expansion valves regulate the injection of refrigerant liquid into evaporators. Injection is controlled by the refrigerant superheat. Therefore the valves are especially suitable for liquid injection in „dry“ evaporators where the superheat at the evaporator outlet follows the evaporator load proportionally

The Emerson D-48 is a standard moisture capacity drier core. It has a 4-3/4 inch shell and a volume of 48 cubic inches.The D-48 is an absorbent filter core that contains 100% activated alumina and 100% molecular sieve.It's designed to remove moisture, acids, and debris from a system.

The Emerson H-48 is a 48 cubic inch filter dryer core that can remove water and high acid. It's used in STAS shells and is suitable for all CFC and HCFC refrigerants.

The Emerson ASF-35F5VV is a suction line filter drier.  It has a unit size of 35 cubic inches, 5/8 inch SAE inlet and outlet connection sizes, and 40 micron filtration.  The ASF is a refrigerant filter drier that protects the compressor from dirt and other solid contaminants.  It is also suitable for system cleanup after a burnout or major work has been performed on the system.
